I've Got This

By: Susan Shea

I should be driving around
on one of those one-seater
cranes that has a bucket that
can be extended
up to forty feet high

so I will be honest
showing everyone that again
I am just pretending
everything is okay

looking like I am
comfortably seated in knowing

my reach exceeds my grasp

just rolling along on my
over-sized tires trying to find
the location of my next uncertainty
